Waldorf L. Eyman
Waldorf Lionel Eyman, better known as "Wally," 80, Knox city, passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 1977 at 4:55 p.m. at Quincy, in blessing Hospital where he had been for two days. He was born August 30,1897 in Belleville, Ill. the son of Isaac R. and Josie Stookey Eyman. He was married at Quincy, Ill. on August 16, 1919 to Thelma Clauson who survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James R. (Elizabeth Ann) Coil of West Des Moines, Ia.; and two sons Waldorf Clauson Eyman of Brandenton, Florida and William R. Eyman of near Knox City; sixgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Lois Frede of Rockport. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Mr. Eyman lived most of his life in Knox County. In his earlier life he operated the Conoco Oil Company of Knox City and later became a farmer and stockman. He was a member of LaBelle Lodge #222 AF&AM, Ely Commandry #22, Kirksville Council #44, and Caldwell Chapter #53 all of Kirksville, also the Scottish Rite and Moola Shrine Temple both at St. Joseph. He was a member of the Knox City United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 31, at 3 p.m. at Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel, Edina, with Rev. Luke Turnbough of Edina officiating and burial in the Bee Ridge Cemetery, southwest of Edina.
