<p>Josiah Halterman, 83, of 213 Hughes St. Keyser, formerly of Scherr died Thursday morning December 14, 1972 at Hopemont State Hospital where he had been a patient two days.</p>
<p></p>
<p>Born in Pendleton County, he was the son of the late James and Arbeline (Simmons) Halterman, his wife Ma___(Iman) Halterman, preceded him in death.</p>
<p></p>
<p>Mr. Halterman, a retired farmer had served for 40 years as a Justice of the Peace in grant County and a member of the Church of the Brethren.</p>
<p></p>
<p>Surviving are one son, Vernon Halterman of Detroit, one sister, Etta Boswell of Keyser, three brothers, Charles Halterman of Luke, Garland Halterman of Scherr, and O. Halterman of Lahmansville. T__grandchildren and three great grandchildren.</p>
<p></p>
<p>Services were held Saturday afternoon at the Rotruck Funeral Home. Rev. Kenney Long, Pastor of the Keyser Church of the Brethren. Interment was in the Lahmansville Cemetery.</p>
