Obituary; Wednesday, April 29, 1931 Fergus Falls Daily Journal Nrs. Carl F. Tomhave, who has been in poor health for some time past,died at an early hour this Wednesday morning. She was born inGudbransdalen, Norway, May 27, 1879, and would have been 52 years ofage next month. Her maiden name was Miss Randine Ekerhaugen. She wasbaptized July 13, 1879 and at the age of three years, came to Americawith her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Peder Ekerhaugen, and settled on the townof Aastad. She was confirmed Oct. 29, 1893, in the Norwegian Lutheranchurch by Rev. A. J. Hulting. Her marriage to Mr. Tomhave took place June 5, 1906. They moved toSandstone, MN., and resided there until 1912, then to Cass Lake, wherethey spent a year, since which time they have resided in Fergus Falls. She is survived by her husband, who is a well known miller at the RedRiver mill, and by three daughters, Dorothy, now Mrs. J. F. Snyder, ofMinneapolis, Mildred of this city, and Myrtle, now Mrs. Hansen, ofthis city. She also leaves two sons, Raymond and Harold. Two othersons, Kenneth and Herbert, have preceded her in death. She is alsosurvived by two sisters, Mrs. John Benson and Mrs. John Hole, ofDalton, and by three brothers, Ole, Olaus and Mathias Ekerhaugen ofAastad. She has been in poor health for some time, suffering from goiter andcomplications, and submitted to an operation, but all that could bedone proved in vain. She was a devoted wife and mother and will besadly missed by a wide circle of friends. Funeral services will beheld Saturday, May 2, with a brief prayer at Benson's chapel at 1:45o'clock and services at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church on Unionavenue at 2 o'clock, Rev. W Fredrich officiating. Burial will be inthe church cemetery in the northeastern part of the city.
