Obituary: Monday, March 5, 1945, Daily Republican Eagle Page 5 Mrs. Engel Bolland, Dies Sunday at Home of Daughter Mrs. Engel Bolland, 85, widow of the late Dietrich Bolland, died earlySunday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eliza Olson, 1222West Fourth street. She had been in failing health for the past year,but had been seriously ill for only two weeks. Born in Germany March 27, 1859, she came with her parents, Mr. andMrs. Jacob Stemmann, to this country when nine years old. The familysettled in Belvidere where she spent her early life. She was married July 22, 1879. Her husband preceded her in death in1937. She was a member of St. John's church here. Surviving are five sons, John, Fred, Rudolph and Orrin of Red Wing andWilliam of Yakima, Wash.; five daughters, Mrs. Catherine Husting, Mrs.Lizzie Olson, Mrs. Bertha Nordenskjold and Mrs. Lydia Hanson of RedWing, and Mrs. Mary Bremer of Goodhue; 18 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Wm. Schultz of Goodhue. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the EdstromFuneral home and 2:45 at St. John's church with Rev. J. R. Baumannofficiating. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery. Friends may callat Edstrom's from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to the hour ofthe services Wednesday.
