<p>Die Familie van Dawen war eine alte Gastwirtsfamilie in Lank-Latum. Auf der Hauptstraße 23 in Lank-Latum steht immer noch die Weinschenke der Familie van Dawen. Nach ihr wurde in Lank-Latum der Van-Dawen-Weg benannt. Ein Nachfahre, Carl van Dawen wurde Ehrenbürger von Lank-Latum. Die Familie hat auf den Friedhof in Meerbusch-Lank mehrere Grabstätten.</p><p>Neben der Schenkwirtschaft waren unter dem Namen van Dawen in Lank-Latum im Adressbuch aus dem Jahr 1901 ein Kohlenhandel, eine Dachziegelei, eine Bierbrauerei (unter Gebr.) sowie ein Weinhandel (Jos. Söhne) bekannt.</p><p>In Lank-Latum befindet sich die kath. Kirche St. Stephanus.</p>
