Highland News Leader, Monday 3 Nov 2003: Lloyd C. Morgan, 60, ofHighland died Wed. 29 Oct 2003 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland. The funeral service was Friday at Hope Lutheran Church, Highland, withthe Rev. Leonard C. Laetsche officiating. Burial was in Highland CityCemetery. Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home was in charge of thearrangements. Mr. Morgan was born 7 June 1943 in Durbin, South Africa, to GeorgeMorgan and Florrie (Yates) Morgan Cunningham. They preceded him indeath. On 11 Oct 1980 in Highland he married Pamela B. Bellm, and shesurvives. Mr. Morgan grew up in South Africa, attended school in England andgraduated from the University of Rhodesia. He served with the BritishMilitary for several years. He worked as a sales representative forBayer Pharmacueutical, transferred to the US and worked for CutterLaboratories, a division of Bayer Pharmaceutical Co. He became anaturalized US citizen in the early 1980's. In 1982, he worked forSearyl Pharmaceutical, then later for IVAC Company and several othercontract pharmaceutical firms. As a youth in South Africa, he enjoyedbeing near the water - sailing, surfing, swimming and snorkeling. Heenjoyed his do CoCo, play golf and watching TV. He was a member ofHope Lutheran Church and the Highland Country Club. He also is survived by a son Eric C. Morgan of Highland; a daughter F.Amanda Morgan; a sister Margaret McKelvey of The Woodlands, TX;nephews Paul (Tonya) McKelvey and Michael Barth; nieces Yvonne (Tom)Stallings, Sharon Brooks and Jennifer Barth; father in law and motherin law Harold R. and Jean (Snelson) Bellm of Highland; and sister inlaw Debra (David) Barth of Highland. He was also preceded in death by a brother Dr. George Morgan. Memorials may be made to the family or to a charity of the donor'schoice.
