Abt 1921- Bought horse branded "FS" and named "GIRLY". /LILLIAN
1921- Left home. Supposedly lived with LENA, KEN STOUT (they did not marry until 1925.) GEO BACHMANN got him a job on streetcars.
Made date with GLENNA SIMMONS. When he arrived at her room at Lombard & Freemont, she hid and he went out with her sister STELLA. /ODIS
STELLA's father came and took she and GLENNA back to Harrisonburg, VA. They wrote and agreed to meet in D.C. /ODIS
15 Jul 1923- Married by REV ZIMMERMAN,L. M. at Christ Church, Charles & Hillen St, Baltimore. They honeymooned on the steamer "EMMA GILES" to Tolchester. /MR and ODIS
1923- Conductor, lived in a furnished apt on Druid Hill Ave. /ODIS
21 Oct 1924- Rented a house at 2306 Loretta Ave. /BC OF # 5 & ODIS
1924-25 - Worked as stevedore at Canton. Got ODIS SIMMONS a job there also. Talked STELLA's father into bringing family north from Hazeltown, VA.
Moved in with F.I.L. at Lake Shore near Gibson Island.
Moved to D.C., worked as motorman. Fired when he hit two cars. /ODIS
Moved to Balto. Worked as meat cutter at "Strolers" on Paca St. /ODIS

193?- Rented at 404 21st St. ODIS had Scarlet fever. His mother, KARL & LEONA lived upstairs. /ODIS
1935- Lived 410 Biddle St. He owned a car called a (Vealy.) /HERMAN II
1935-1936- Lived at 2231 Barclay St. /CD & HERMAN II
1935- Lived on Bartlett St. MARY SIMMONS, pregnant, also was there. HERMAN and STELLA separated. Stella moved to North & Greenmount Av. HERMAN moved back. /ODIS
Oct 1936- Left Baltimore with family in a 1929 LASALLE Coupe. Worked 2-3 Months in Staunton, VA construction. Drove to TX. At Austin, car was hit in rear by a truck. Camped on Red River. Continued through AZ to Bakersfield, CA. Returned to Memphis. Lived in apartment with a Jewish woman and then a duplex house. After Mississippi flood, worked in construction along river, boarding at Indianoplis. /ODIS
3 Jan 1937- Received telegram that STELLA's father had been hit and killed by a car. CARL SIMMONS sent money for STELLA and the children to go to Balto by rail. HERMAN sold the car returned to Balto a week after the funeral. /ODIS
1937- HERMAN, was a clerk at Union Beef Co and boarded at 908 Ellwood Av. /CD
1938?- Moved to Stemmers Run Rd, Essex on land bought by VIRGINIA SIMMONS. Property was big enough for a house built by HERMAN, ODIS SIMMON's house and VIRGINIA SIMMONS. LEON, ROY & MARY lived with their mother. /ODIS
10 Jun 1940- HERMAN C, 35, steel mill bolter, owned and lived at 216 Stemmers Run Rd with wife STELLA, 33 and sons HERMAN C Jr, 15, ODIS K, 13 and ROBERT, 5. All were born in MD except STELLA in VA. Real estate was worth $1200 and HERMAN HAD EARNED $900 in the last year. /CENSUS RD 3-104B
1941-1942- Eastern Blvd was built through property. He built a house and moved to 25 Stemmers Run Rd.
1941- Worked for Consolidated Engr Co at Sparrows Point plant./ODIS
1945- Sold house to son HERMAN and moved to Riverdale Apts, Middle River where he worked as maintenance manager.
194?- Built and moved to 27 Stemmers Run Rd.
194?- Operated horse riding academy with WM PETERS from PETER's barn at the corner of Old Eastern Ave and Back River Neck Rd.
194?- As SCHMIDT & SON built houses around area, most for HUBER Bldg & Loan Assoc.
195?- Worked with Consolidated Const & Mullins Const Co.
1954- Ill with neck tic. Sold house & lived in trailer behind 27 Stemmers Run Rd.
196?- Lived in apartment above son ODIS' Midway Tavern.
1972- Moved to son BOB's property at 1621 Wilson Pt Rd.
197?-83, Worked as radio dispatcher with Harbor Towing Co.
1980's- Developed diabetes, part of right foot amputated.
Jan 1985- His left leg was amputated below the knee because of gangrene.
Apr 1985- Moved to Eastpoint Nursing Home.
Memorial service at Connelly's Funeral Home.
23 Nov 1996- Remains buried with wife at Gardens of Faith Cemetary, Rosedale, MD.
