Abt 1921- Bought horse branded "FS" and named "GIRLY". /LILLIAN
1921- Left home. Supposedly lived with LENA, KEN STOUT (they did not marry until 1925.) GEO BACHMANN got him a job on streetcars.
Made date with GLENNA SIMMONS. When he arrived at her room at Lombard & Freemont, she hid and he went out with her sister STELLA. /ODIS
STELLA's father came and took she and GLENNA back to Harrisonburg, VA. They wrote and agreed to meet in D.C. /ODIS

Oct 1936- Left Baltimore with family in a 1929 LASALLE Coupe. Worked 2-3 Months in Staunton, VA construction. Drove to TX. At Austin, car was hit in rear by a truck. Camped on Red River. Continued through AZ to Bakersfield, CA. Returned to Memphis. Lived in apartment with a Jewish woman and then a duplex house. After Mississippi flood, worked in construction along river, boarding at Indianoplis. /ODIS
3 Jan 1937- Received telegram that STELLA's father had been hit and killed by a car. CARL SIMMONS sent money for STELLA and the children to go to Balto by rail. HERMAN sold the car returned to Balto a week after the funeral. /ODIS
1937- HERMAN, was a clerk at Union Beef Co and boarded at 908 Ellwood Av. /CD
1938?- Moved to Stemmers Run Rd, Essex on land bought by VIRGINIA SIMMONS. Property was big enough for a house built by HERMAN, ODIS SIMMON's house and VIRGINIA SIMMONS. LEON, ROY & MARY lived with their mother. /ODIS

1980's- Developed diabetes, part of right foot amputated.
Jan 1985- His left leg was amputated below the knee because of gangrene.
Apr 1985- Moved to Eastpoint Nursing Home.
Memorial service at Connelly's Funeral Home.
23 Nov 1996- Remains buried with wife at Gardens of Faith Cemetary, Rosedale, MD.
