Elisabeth gave birth to seven children of which two died at birth, no record on them. The Aipperspach family did well. Father and Samuel served others in religious needs. Samuel and Immanuel served Hoffnungstal in council. Senior was alderman son mayor. Immanuel was the last acting mayor in Hoffnungstal, a proud family. Hoffnungstal "Hope-dale" became a settlement in 1842, last from the original 25. The settlement was growing steadily doing well in farming. Nobody could expect that all this come to nothing. In 1940 took all 2221 Germans part on the evacuation program. These folks sat two years in a German camp before they got moved. Germany took a big risk placing them to a hostile area in eastern Poland. It was here when everything broke loose from heaven. Polish people fought back loosing their land. Freedom fighters went to work attacking these people. Men women and children stood by defenseless while husbands and sons fought in the war. These folks spend 583 horrifying days in the region before Germany was forced to leave. During that time 38 innocent people have lost their lives to raids. Another 21 helpless people lost out to hardship caught on their way out. Hoffnungstal is no longer on the map the Soviets erased it in 1947. The site now is an open field but not forgotten. The transition to Germany put many of our people to a test. The German Reich took measures eliminating people who they felt being a burden to the settlement program. They did away with the mentally ill, the severely handicapped, and the ones fragile to age. We believe Elisabeth lost out on it. She was advanced in age. The family took a big loss on her. Alfred OPP
