Informant - Cindy Kay Wilhelm Now I can provide much more information on this line except for the first 3 Children Johan, Katharina & Adolf. I believe that they may have died in Russia between 1885 & 1905 When their Parents Wilhelm & Katharina left for the USA with Ernestine & William J. .. I found their Ellis Island records and they did not show the first 3 children nor have I been able to find Marriage or Death records for them in Russia.The Records also show that Wilhelm & Katharina were going to Wishek, North Dakota where Wilhelm had a Brother Named Johan ( John) Mittelstadt. I found in ND. that Wilhelm & Katharina indeed went directly to Wishek & Wilhelm opened a Harness Repair Shop. Wilhelm & Family are mentioned in Wishek Golden Jubilee & In the 1910 Census for Mcintosh County ND. it shows that Wilhelm Mittelstadt is listed as a Shoemaker ( had to be Horse shoes) & His Son William was the Janitor for the Church. I have always known the Family was of Lutheran Faith & with a little further research I discovered that the Very First Lutheran Church was built in McIntosh County ND. between 1909-1910 . William at one time Owned & Operated a Tire Repair Shop in Wishek, ND. Wilhelm Mittelstadt died in Wishek, ND. on Aug 27, 1930 & Katharina Pleinis Mittelstadt died in ND. on Jan 6, 1947.
