GCRA NEWSLETTER Volume 17, Number 2 P 51-58 1804-1805 Emigrants to Russia from Markgroeningen Amt, Wue. Contributed by Thomas A. Stangl [Source: FHL #550,796] Daughter, Rosina Unrath (*1794), had married by 1812 to Johann Heinrich Kranzler [a.k.a. Granzler in 1818], and appeared in 1816 GRL:9. By 1818, the Kranzler family had moved to Grusien, to the South Caucasus colony of Katharinenfeld. A report found on DAI : film T81-636, page 5436837, describes the survivors of that colony's destruction in 1826 by nomadic tribesmen (possibly Chechens), including Rosina Unrath, age 32 (*Schweiberdingen); her son, Jacob Friedrieh Kranzler, age 15 (Heinrich Jakob | Friedrieh, age 4 in 1816 GRL:9, erroneously listed as the son t of Friedrieh Kranzler; conrectly identified in 1818 GRL:9); and her mother-in-law, Christina Margaretha (Heusel) Kranzler, age 62 (*Tubingen ca 1764). Apparently the rest of the Kranzler family perished. [Source: Paul Whitehouse, descendent of Franz Michael Krein and Barbara Unrath]
