Jakob Pfeifle ObitTaken from Die Staats Anzeiger, Friday, 6 July 1945 Jakob Pfeifle of Streeter was born 4 October 1860 in G©·uldendorf near Odessa in South Russia. There he was baptize and grew up in the parental house. After his military service he married Katharina Brenner in 1886, and this marriage was blessed with eight children, four sons and four daughter, namely: Friedrich Pfeifle, Napleon, ND; Katherina, widow of the deceased Jakob Zimmerman in Napoleon, ND; Lydia Herman; Jakob and Dorothea, all of Alfred, North Dakota; Adam of Napoleon on his father©ルus farm; Mathilda, wife of John Lachenmaier of Hardin, Montana; Eduard Pfeifle of Vancouver, Washington.Father Pfeifle came to this country in 1887, to Eureka, SD, In 1889 he came with his family to ND and took up a homestead 15 miles south of Streeter, where he remained until 1919, when he gave up his homestead and served many years as the city marshall. In the year 1925 his first wife died and two years later he married Christina Wildermuth, whom he lost to death after five years. In the year 1932 he married for the third time Maria Schatz, who now survives him. He died 23 June (1945) at the age of 84 years 8 months and 19 days and was buried by Pastor Immermann on June 27.
