Of thismarriage there was issue, viz. ____________________ The manor of Lytham was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 asLidun.[1] In the 12th century it was given to the Benedictine monks ofDurham Priory for the foundation of a monastic cellLytham Priory.Following the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 1530s, LythamPriory came into the possession of Sir Richard Molyneux.
