WARRINGTON SHARP
Judge Warrington Sharp, retired, Juvenile and Relations Court of The City of Norfolk, 81, died Nov. 12, 2001, in
Virginia Beach.
Sharp was born in Norfolk County in 1920. After attending the College of Charleston, Charleston, S.C., he graduated from the U.S. Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Fla., where he w
as designated a naval aviator. He was a lieutenant commander in the
U.S. Naval Reserve, retired. He graduated from the University of Virginia Law School and practiced law for 10 years in Norfol
k. Hewas appointed assistant commonwealth attorney and then was appointed judge where he served for 15 years.
He was a member of the Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association, the Virginia State Ba
r Association, and the Association of District Court Judges of Virginia. He was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church where he was a member of the vestry and pre
sident of the Men of St. Paul's
. He changed his membership to Christ and St. Lukes later. He was a Naval veteran of World War II and a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
He is survived by a son, Charles Montgomery Shar
p of Chesapeake; two sisters, Naomi K. Atkinson of Conyers, Ga., and Frances Ashbacher of Toledo, Ohio; three brothers, Sherwood G. Sharp ofStewart, Fla., Carl M. Sharp of Chesapeake, and Robert E.

Sharp of Advance, N.C.; and a granddaughter, Summer Melinda Sharp of Gloucester, Va.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Gordon Davis
officiating. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
