Wohnte 1910 in Merode, Langerwehe, Rheinland, Hs. Nr. 65 (2011, D'horner Straße 3). Er kaufte den Hof von der Familie Kettenis.
Kam beim Bombenangriff am 16.11.1944 auf seinem Acker an der Antoniusstraße in der Nähe des Meisenkreuzes, mit der Gehilfin, Fräulein Klara Kaiser, * 16.05.1930, die ihr sogenanntes "Landjahr" absolvierte ums Leben. Er wurde erst viel später gefunden und anhand seiner Kleidung identifiziert.
