It is possible that Arthur is a nephew to Frank and Emma Carolina, notto likely to be brother to Frank S. as their is some 20 years differents in their ages, later Arthur would marry Emma Carolinas sister, Frances Rosie Ellen Krull, who was Arthur's junior by two years.The agesbetween the sisters, Emma Carolina Krull Spellman and Frances Rosie Ellen Krull is 21 years, their mother had 10 children of her own and oneadopted.She lost many of her early children to disease while living in Missouri and Iowa.

Arthur John Spellman was the child of Herman Henry Spellman and Margaretha Carolena Stutheit born on 07 Aug 1879 in Lancaster County, Nebraska. Arthur served his county during the Spanish-American War in the3rd Nebraska Infantry. At about the age of 21, he married Francis Rosa Ellen Krull in 1900 in Lancaster County, Nebraska. They had four children together. Arthur passed away on 18 Nov 1918 in Sprague, Nebraska. He was 40 years, 3 months and 11 days old.
