Orange County Virginia Families, Vol. IV:
"Mary Inez Brown, born 9 May 1861, Denton, Texas. Married
first to James McKray. He took her east (St. Louis, Mo.) where
he left her with two small children. She returned to Arizona and
divorced him. He remarried and lived at Prescott, having three
children by his second wife."
- In the 1910 census she indicated that she was the
mother of 11 children but with only 6 remaining alive
at that time
