MUSKOGEE, Okla. — Shirley Oletha Barthel, 79, of Muskogee, formerly of Roland and Fort Smith, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999, in Tulsa. She was a homemaker, a Catholic and an LPN at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center. She was the widow of Roy Wallace Barthel.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday in Agent Funeral Home Chapel of Muldrow, with burial at Roland City Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Dr. Dee Blair of Fort Smith; three sons, Bob of Muskogee, Buddy of Roland and Tom of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Joie Tounzen of Roland, Geraldine McLemore of San Jacinto, Calif., and Barbara Betancourt of Arlington, Texas; one brother, Royce R. Krumsiek of Anaheim, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Robert Barthel of Shawnee, Okla., Randel Barthel of Jenks, Okla., Roger Barthel of Salt lake City, Kenda Jones, Rhonda Edwards and Kenneth Barthel Jr., all ofRoland, Gwendolyn Ratcliffe and Suzanne Blair, both of Fort Smith, and Melinda Barnes of Dallas; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert, Randel, Roger and Kenneth Barthel, Jodie Jones, Terry Edwards, Ted Ratcliffe and David Barnes.
The body may be viewed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
