William Foord, Jr was a deacon in the Congregational Church of Marshfield. He is buried in the church burying grounds called Cedar Grove Cemetery. I believe this William Foord's parents were William Foord (born England 1604) and Anna Eames(born England,1614). See death records for Plymouth County. William and Anna were married in England and later moved to Plymouth county, Ma.). Son, William Foord (Jr.) was born in England in 1633. Young, Jr" By Edward Joy Paul, 1914, PAGE 61. WILLIAM FOORD. JR., born in 1633, having been admitted freeman June 1, 1658, married Nov. 4, 1658, Sarah Dingley; was one of the Marshfield company which went against King Philip in 1675 as appears by letter written by Nathaniel Thomas at Swansea while on the expedition; was ensign in 1685, and having been selectman and deacon of the church at Marshfield died there Feb. 7, 1721, aged eighty-eight years. His will, dated Mar. 18. 1720, and probated Feb. 20, 1721, appoints my son-in-law Thomas Doggett to be executor, leaves beds and furnishings to daughters Mercy Thomas and Elizabeth Doggett, recites that my sons John, Josiah and Joseph, have already received their portions, and provides that after the decease of my wife Sarah the residue of my estate shall go to my six daughters Mercy Thomas, Sarah Jones, Mary Wilder, Margaret Porter, Experience Doggett and Bethia Barker.
