More About ROBERT W. MINETT: Burial: February 20, 1959, Richland Center Cemetery, Richland Center, Wisconsin Cause of Death: Heart Attack Notes for EMMA ELVINA BROWN: Death Comes Suddenly Mrs. Robert Minett Passes Away at Her home in This City The Angel of Death entered the home of Robert Minett Thursday last and summoned the mother and babe, death coming suddenly and without warning.Mrs Minett had been about the house doing the necessary work when she was taken ill, suffering a collapse from which she was unable to rally and death ensued within a few hours. Her sudden passing out of this life shocked the entire city, where she was held in the highest esteem. She was popular with those who knew her her, and in her death the city looses one of its best citizens, the husband a kind and loving wife and the children a noble mother. She is survived by her husband and six children.Funeral services were held from the United Brethren church Sunday afternoon, attended by a large throng.Burial was made in the city cemetery. Emma Elvina Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs William Brown was born in Edgerton, Rock County, Wisconsin, July 12, 1884, and departed this life in her home in Richland Center, Wisconsin, Thursday, July 21, 1921, at the age of thirty seven years and nine days. She grew to womanhood at Edgerton where she was united in marriage to Robert W. Minett, January 1, 1901.The first two years of married life was spent at Edgerton at the expiration of which time the home was removed to Marshall township, Richland County, Wisconsin, where three years were spent on a farm.In 1906 the family moved to Richland Center where her beautiful home has been maintained for fifteen years. Mrs. Minett was the mother of eight children, five sons and three daughters. Two sons, Floyd Rotim and Vivian Albert died in infancy. The children who suffer the great loss of a remarkably good and capable mother are Vernon Wilford, Forest Irving, Ione Luelda, Phyllis Mary, Robert William and Doris Marie. In early life she became a Christian being confirmed in the German Lutheran church of Edgerton at the age of sixteen years. She united with the United Brethren church of Richland Center in 1908 and was a member of said church at the time of her death. She was a faithful, active and very efficient member of the church entering heartily into all of its activities. She was a regular attendant at public worship. For many years she has been a member of the Woman s Missionary Society of her church and for the past two years its capable secretary. She held membership in the Eastern Star, the Mystic Workers and the Women's Relief Corps. She was one of God's noble woman, a queen in her home and a valuable asset to the church and society. The influence of her pure unselfish life will abide in the hearts of the loved ones of her family circle;in the lives of her associates in Christian work in the church; and with her neighbours and acquaintances in the entire community. An irreparable loss has come to her husband and children and a place made vacant in the church and community that will be very hard to fill. The home has lost a splendid mother, the church a devoted member, the orders to which she belonged an interested member and a society a kind and generous friend and neighbour. In addition to the loved ones in her own family circle she leaves to morn her sudden departure her aged mother Mrs. William Brown, of Richland Center, her three brothers, Frank, Charles and Fred Brown, of Edgerton, Wisconsin and a host of friends and neighbours. Humanly speaking her death seems untimely.Measured in years her life went out at Midday.Measured in deeds, influence and service may she not have lived a long life?Surely in her splendid motherhood she accomplished much. "Truly we live in deeds,; not years; in thoughts, not breaths; in feeling not in figures on the dial.We should count time by heart throbs. He most lives who thinks most, feels noblest and acts the best."
