<p style="text-align: left;" dir="ltr">Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1975:<br />"Loose Creek Man Victim of Cancer"<br />Alvin J. Kliethermes, 48, Loose Creek, died Thursday night, August 14, 1975, atthe Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital, Columbia. He has been ill for the past year and a half. He was born April 13, 1927, in Loose Creek, the son of Joseph and Josephine Rackers Kliethermes. His mother of Loose Creek, survives. On June 2, 1956, he was married in Taos to Margaret M. Thessin, who survives.<br />Mr. Kliethermes was a veteran of the Korean War and was injured in the war. He was awarded two bronze stars and the Purple Heart. Afte the war he was employed as a farmer and stockman at Loose Creek. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Loose Creek, the Holy Name Society and the VFW Linn Post.<br />Survivors include: two sons, Joseph and Patrick Kliethermes, both of the home; six daughters, Elaine, Joyce, Mary, Doris, Carol and Lori Kliethermes, all of the home; one brother, Francis Kliethermes, Loose Creek; and two sisters, Mrs. Loraine Reich and Mrs. Rosemary Messig, both of St. Louis.<br />Funeral services were held Monday at the Immaculate Conceptionc Catholic church, Loose Creek, with the Rev. Kevin Gormley officiating. Military graveside services were in the parish cemetery."</p>
