The petition of Hiram Cooley and Murray Woodson adms of the estate ofTucker Woodson, dec’d... there is a necessity of immediately selling all the personal estate ofthe intestate for distribution among the heirs as they are all of lawfulage. For the above noted reason your petitioners crave an order of sale.S/ Hiram Cooley, Murray (X) Woodson, adms. 3 Oct 1831. ...to John Watson, Esq., ordinary... I Murray Woodson a legalheir and representative of Tucker Woodson dec’d late of the district(Greenville) aforesaid... who died intestate do hereby apply to the courtof ordinary for a division or sale of the real estate of said deceasedsituate in the district aforesaid (Greenville) on Saluda river containing131 acres more or less, it being part of a tract of land originallygranted to James Moore bounded by lands of John Clark, Elizabeth Bensonand said river. your applicant would also state that the following is acorrect list of heirs of said deceased (viz) myself, Jane Pettis, JohnCockrum and Sarah his wife, Charlotte Johnson, Hiram Cooley and Mary hiswife & John Armstrong and Elizabeth his wife.
