Oliver Stevens (Andrew, Thomas, Henry) was born at Canaan, Connecticut,in 1759, and died in Cicero, New York in 1813. He married in August 1780,Nancy Crittendon, of Salisbury, Connecticut, who died November 24, 1842.He enlisted in Captain John Steven's Company, January 22, 1776, and wasin the expedition to Canada under General Arnold. In 1789 he settled atFort Brewerton, now Cicero, New York. He was an Indian trader and kept aboatsman's tavern.
