The couple was married September 21, 1904 at St. Pauls LutheranChurch in the Town of Forest, the Rev. Louis King officiating. Mrs.Glasow is the former Katherine E. Krug. Attendants at their wedding wereMrs. Ella Hill and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gleason. Glasow has beenin the grocery business for 30 years and with the Glasow & Leitman Co.for 40 years. Both are members of the St. Peters Mens Club and Mrs.Glasow of the Gleaners Society. They have two children; Carlton Glasowand Mrs. Lew (Arlene) Dowler, both of Fond du Lac. They have twograndchildren and one great-grandchild. OBITUARY-Commnwealth Reporter, Fond du Lac, WI - Dated: 11-10-1972 Gustav A. Glasow, 94, of 440 Center St., who was associated withGlasow-Leitman Co. here for 60 years, died at 9 p.m. Thursday at St.Agnes Hospital. From 1901 to 1903 he played with the Company Ebasketball team and helped win the national championship title. Heorganized the Fond du Lac Horse Shoe Pitch Club and was an honorarylifrtime member and served on the board of the state horse shoe club. Hewas associated with his father in the grocery business from 1892 to 1919,at the northwest corner of 11th and South Main Streets. He then purchasedthe business from his father. Mr. Glasow was born Dec. 30, 1877 in Fonddu Lac, a son of William and Linda Halle Glasow. He married KatherineKrug on Sept. 21, 1904 in the Town of Forest. Theylived in Fond du Lacsince their marriage. He was a lifetime member of St. Peters LutheranChurch, Mens Club and was also a member of Fond du Lac County HistoricalSociety. Surviving are his widow; a son, Carlton of Fond du Lac; adaughter, Mrs. Lew Dowler of Fond du Lac; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons, and asister, Mrs. Emma Ottery of Fond du Lac; seven brothers and four sisterspreceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Peters LutheranChurch with Pastor Karl A. Gurgel officiating. Burial will be in RienziCemetery. Friends and relatives may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday anduntil noon Sunday at Candlish Chapel and there after at the church untilthe time of services.
