Uncasville - Charles T. Edwards, 74, of 217 Moxley Road, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at The William W. Backus Hospital, Norwich.
Born Dec. 25, 1930, in McCool, Miss., he was the son of late Walter and Alice (McGee) Edwards.
On Aug. 2, 1952, he married his beloved wife, Ann Romagna; she survives him.
In 1968, after 21 years, he retired from the United States Navy as a chief warrant officer, after having served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Mr. Edwards retired as a manager of Lake Compounce and Lake Quassapaug.
He was a Rason ham radio operator.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, David Edwards, and his wife, Debbie, of Coventry, Donald Edwards, of Uncasville, and William Edwards, and his wife, Janelle, of Sparks, Nev.; a daughter, Suzann Miller, and her husband, Joe, of Voluntown; a brother, James Edwards, of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Dorothy Miles, of Lewisville, Miss., Bonnie Woods, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Marjorie Crow, of Arkansas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A sister, Helen Pope, predeceased him.
