<p><span style="color: #444444; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; background-color: #fcf8ec;">Mrs. Lois Temple Wolfshohl left this earth for greener pastures on Sunday, May 3, 2015, having lived a full 101 years. Lois was born to John Temple and Ruth Carnes Temple July 27, 1913, in Gillett, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Kurt G. Wolfshohl,daughter Lucille Marie Porter, and brothers Byston, Elton and Jack Temple. <br /><br />As a young child, Lois came to Black Hill, TX, in a covered wagon. She lived in the Black Hill Community for 40 years, where she and her husband, Kurt, survived farming through the great depression and during the historic drought in the 1950's, all the while raising two small children. Lois was a teacher for five years, and retired from Joske's after 20 years. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and an active resident of Patriot Heights for the last 20 years, both in San Antonio, TX. <br /><br />She is survived by her son John W. Wolfshohl and wife, JoAnn, of Houston, TX; and grandchildren Eric Wolfshohl, of Pearland, TX; Pete Porter and wife, Amy, of Honolulu, HI; and Margaret Porter and husband, Jon Phillips, of Albuquerque, NM, as well as 3 great-grandchildren and many close friends and family. <br /><br />Memorial services will be held at Patriot Heights on Tuesday May 12th at 10 a.m. Visitation is at the Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy., on Wednesday, May 13th at 10:30 a.m. Burial services will be conducted at Ft. Sam Houston at 1 pm, Wednesday, May 13, 2015. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Optim Hospice.</span></p>
