1 Details: Robert W. Jensen II 1941 - 2013 On Saturday, March 9, 2013, Robert W. Jensen II, age 71, passed away peacefully in the company of his loving family following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born March 16, 1941, to Robert W. Jensen and Mary (Mau) Jensen of Kenosha. He graduated from St. Mark Elementary and Bradford High School and attended the University of Wisconsin Parkside pursuing classes in business. On Nov. 23, 1963, he married his high school sweetheart, Gail Becker (daughter of Harold and Bernice Becker). He was in the National Guard and called to active duty during the Berlin Crisis in the 1960s. While employed at the Kenosha News, he opened his first restaurant in 1968, The Institute of Pizza Technology. This was Kenoshas first drive through food service In 1973, he embarked on his second and third ventures in entrepreneurism as he opened B.J. Auto Bath and Jensens Restaurant. Jensens Fine Food and Spirits was founded with the help of his wife Gail, sister Jeri Jensen, and parents Robert and Mary Jensen. They provided Kenosha with fine dining for over 11 years. He branched into new directions opening multiple arcades, known as, Bun and Games and his final restaurant, Pizza Popper. In 1984 he opened Top Choice Rentals in Kenosha which is thriving as his current family business. Well known for his generosity, Robert extended the services of his business to benefit various charities, organizations, schools and churches. He was an active member of St. Mark Parish and had an enthusiasm for spectating St. Joseph High School athletics in which many of his children and grandchildren participated. He will be fondly remembered and forever loved by his wife, Gail; sister, Jeri; sister in law, Faye Enos; his six children, Jennifer (Michael) Cable, Jessica Jensen, Robert W. III (Rachel) Jensen, Ryan (Michelle) Jensen, Regan Jensen, Jerian (Chad) Buchanan, and 14 grandchildren, Kailee, Kyle and Kade Cable, Robert W. IV, Lukas, Maeghan and Isabel Jensen, Jacob, Madelyn and Allyson Jensen and Connor, Abigail, Evan and Ethan Buchanan. His family will proudly carry out the legacy of his work as they continue to develop and enhance Top Choice Rentals. Never to be forgotten, his generosity, ambition, character, and spirit will transcend through his loving family. We wish to acknowledge the support and compassion of Dr. James Santarelli, Hospice Alliance, and especially Dr. Malik Bandealy and Aurora staff whose understanding of the dignity of the human spirit is seen daily in their loving care. God bless you all. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday March 13, 2013, at 12 noon at St. Mark Catholic Church (7117-14th Avenue). Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of mass. Private burial will take place at St. James Cemetery.
