Details: Henry Rible Dies Henry Wilbur Rible n died Friday at his home in San Luis Obispo. A native of Palo Alto, he was 71. Rible was welfare director in Kings County for more than 13 years in the period 1952-65. Previous to coming here he had been assistant welfare director in Napa County and also had worked in Santa Clara County welfare prior to that. Rible was semi-retired after leaving Kings, but did work for a time with the San Luis Obispo department. A perennial student, whose interests ranged from environmental concerns to foreign langauges, Rible was a graduate of Stanford University, ' did graduate work at University of California at Berkeley and Fresno State University, and held a masters degree in social work. He had been active in Episcopal Church of the Saviour in Hanford, was a member of the Menlo Park Masonic Lodge, various professional organizations, Sierra Club, Audubon Society, California Native Plants Society, Historical Society1 and Stanford Alumni Association. At Ribles request, no services were held and following cremation, his ashes were to be scattered in a favorite location in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Surviving are his wife, Dorothea, of San Luis Obispo; a son, Henry W. Rible III of San Luis Obispo; a daughter, Rebecca Smith of Hanford, and two grandchildren. For those who wish, the family has suggested memorial contributions to the Episcopal Church of the Saviour Memorial fund; the Audubon Memorial Scholarship ( P.O.
