Luisa Klein Rites Held, The Bismarck Tribune 6/10/1967

Luisa Klein of Mott died on June 9, 1967 at the age of 78 at the Elgin Hospital. She had been ill seventeen days.

Mrs. Klein was born on February 16, 1889 to Jacob and Fredrecka Jose Luithle in South Russia. She came to the United States with her parents when she was eight months old. They settled near Scotland, South Dakota in 1889 and 1901 they came to Antelope, North Dakota where she grew up. On November 29, 1906 she married Edward Klein at Antelope. They lived in the Newburg area for forty-two years after their marriage until the fall of 1948 when they retired into Mott.

The couple were faithful members of the Newburg Congregational Church for 43 years, where all the children were baptized and confirmed.

Mrs. Klein was an active member of the Ladies Aid from the time it was organized until they moved to Mott.

She is survived by her husband, Edward; four daughers and eight sons, Edward of Ulysses Kansas, Jake, Jamestown, North Dakota, John, New England, Richard, Billings Montana, Ben and Ervin of Lemmon, Edmund, Elgin, Marvin, Bismarck, Mrs Adolph (Bertha) Will, Heil; Mrs. Richard (Lydia) Lechner, Missoula, Montana, Mrs. Art (Katherine) Buttman, Billings, Montana, Mrs. Arvin (Edna) Guenther, Dickinson; forty-three grandchildren and forty-three great-grandchildren; three step-brothers, Karl, August, and Ben Auch.

She was preceded in death by one son, Albert, four brothers and three sisters.

The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in November 1966 at the Zoar Congregational Church. This was a joyous reunion for a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral was held on June 12, 1967 at 2 p.m. from Zoar Congregational Church at Mott. Rev. Cecil Argetsinger officiated with mrs. Ervin Heinle as organist.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Donald, James, Lloyd, Lynn, and Vernon Klein and Clayton Buttman. Interment was in Newberg Cemetery at Burt. Arrangements by Erdman Fueral Home at Mott.
