Olivia (Grosz) Reimann, 91, April 27, 1911 - November 6, 2002
Funeral services for Olivia Reimann were held Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at 10:30 a.m., at Salem Lutheran Church, Parkston, with the Rev. Randall Koeller officiating. Music was furnished by the Salem Lutheran Choir, Bobbi Jo Reimann and Joan Reimann, duet, and Marlene Wuertzer, organist.
Interment was made in the Rosehill Cemetery, Scotland, with Clements-Wiese Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casketbearers were Doug Bierle, David Reimann, Melvin Kepplinger, Jim Smoragiewicz, Ernest Schulz, andDouglas Schulz.
Olivia Reimann was born April 27, 1911, in Hutchinson County to Jacob and Teresia Brost Grosz. She was baptized on June 4, 1911, and confirmed on June 27, 1926, at Dennewitz Lutheran Church, rural Tripp. She grew up on a farm northeast of Tripp and was married to Max Reimann on February 4, 1940, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Kaylor.
After marriage, they farmed southeast of Parkston on the Reimann family homestead until 1945 when they moved to a farm northwest of Scotland. They farmed there until 1976 when they retired and moved to Parkston.
She was involved in serving Salem Lutheran Church in many ways, including the Altar Guild, choir, Bible study, and helping to prepare meals for special occasions. She worked in quilting groups that sewed quilts for Lutheran World Relief.
She suffered a stroke in 1995, and was a resident of the Good Samaritan Home in Tripp for the past seven years.
She died Wednesday, Nov. 6. Sheattained the age of 91 years.
She is survived by three sons, Erwin (Joan), Rapid City, Robert (Carol), Olivet, and Larry, Sioux Falls: five grandchildren, Julie (Jim) Smoragiewicz, Rapid City, David (Amy) Reimann, Albion, Mich., Alisa (Doug) Bierle, Ethan, Theresia Reimann, Toledo, Ohio, and Bobbi Jo Reiman, Brookings: seven great-grandchildren: and her sister-in-law, Irene (Rueben) Grosz.
She was preceded in death by her parents: her brothers, Bernard and Reuben, and her husband, Max, who died in 1982.Quellenangaben
