AGED LADY PASSES AWAY, WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Simon Tiede passed away at the local hospital last Wednesday, March 4th, after an illness following a paralytic stroke.

Funeral services were heldat the house on Tuesday afternoon, March 10th, at one o'clock and at the Congregational church at 1:30.

The sincere sympathy of all is extended to the aged husband and the children of the deceased.

MRS. SIMON TIEDE'S OBITUARY

Mrs. Simon Tiede, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Leischner was born January 19,1864, at Kulm, Russia. At this place and as a child she was consecrated to God in Holy Baptism. She was reared in a Christian home and confirmed at the age of fifteen.

In the year 1878 she with her parents migrated to the United States, the family making their home at Parkston, South Dakota. In her early youth she was converted to Christ her Saviour, to whom she dedicated her life in faithful service.

In 1882 she was united in marriage to Simon Tiede, with whom she shared joys and sorrows the fifty-three years of devoted life.

To this union twelve children were born, fourof whom preceded the mother in death.

Mother Tiede enjoyed comparative good health until the evening of February fifth, at which time she was stricken with a paralytic stroke. Everything thatwas humanly possible was done for her but kind hands and loving hearts could not keep her here.

Death came to her in the local hospital at 11:40 a.m March 5, 1936, at the age of seventy-two years, one month and fifteen days.

She leaves to mourn her loss: her devoted husbanD: four sons, Nathaniel, Gottfred, Gottlieb and Alfred, all of Parkston: and four daughters: Mrs. John Hasz and Mrs.Nathaniel M. Winter, both of Wessington Springs: Mrs. Solomon Winter of Parkston and Mrs. Oscar Brosz of Tripp. Also three sisters, two brothers, thirty grandchildren three great-grandchildren and many other relatives and a host of friends.
