Came to US in about 1911 and joined brother Friedrich in North Dakota. Moved to Waterloo, NY in about 1925. Returned toElgin, ND in 1929, then returned to Waterloo, NY in 1930. After Theresia died in 1959 he returned to ND in 1960, he then married Mary Sauter and brought her to live in Waterloo, NY. He then returned to ND in 1963 and remained there until his death in 1979.
Died in hospital per Laura (Loeffler) Cawthrone. She had seen him walking around Elgin earlier and knew he was very poor. She had plannedto visit him and when she arrived at the hospital he had died during the previous night. Date of birth given as 13 Dec 1895 in family record of death. Country listed as Romania and age at death as 83years, 7 months, 18 days.

Helen and Marie Quast remember Hank as a very little boy being in Elgin.
The family returned to Waterloo after only a short stay in Elgin, ND. Theresadid not like not having fruit to eat and they had to live with her brother August and his family. They returned to Waterloo and a man by the name of Mr. Cumptson let them live on his farm which he wasnot using. This made it possible for the family to survive and they harvested the timber for firewood for money. My father and his siblings grew up on this small farm north of Waterloo.Quellenangaben
