Hermine Amalie Friederike (Minnie) was born to Diedrich and Anna Wessel on August 13, 1876, and died Sep 12, 1962. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Paul's church in the community north of Hooper, Dodge Co., Nebraska.
She married Fred Kunz on Mar 13,1896, who had rented the farm known as the Haar place. They had eight children: Sophie Margaretha Friederike, Alma Louise, Ludolf B., Else Gertrude, Vincent George, Marie Henrietta, Paul Andreas,and Evelyn Louise. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Mar 13 1946 with an Open House. Both were in good health.
Hermine had a large tumor removed Dec 6, 1951, at the Fremont Hospital. She began to fail gradually in her late years and passed away Sept 12 at night between 9:30 and 10:00 at her home in 1962. She was never completely bedfast. Her funeral was Sept 15, 1962, from St. Paul's, Hooper.

their anniversary by holding
Open House for their relatives
and friends on that day between
the hours of 2:00 to 5:00 in the
afternoon, and between 7:30and
10:00 in the evening, at their
home.
Fred Kunz and Hermine Wessel
were married March 13, 1896
by Rev. F,. Wupper at the home of
her parents. They have spent
their entire married life on their
present farm. Mr. and Mrs. Kunz
are both in good health and active.
Mr. Kunz was born in Germany,
February 13, 1872 and Mrs. Kunz
was born in Cuming township on
August 13, 1876. They are the
parents of eight children: three
sons, Ludolf of Concord, Vincent
andPaul at home;,five daughters,
Mrs. John D. Meyer, Scribner;
Mrs. Herman Wobken, Hooper;
Marie of Alliance; Sophie and
Evelyn at home. They have seven
hope to be home for the anniversary.

MRS. FRED KUNZ LAID TO REST
Hermine Kunz was born Aug. 13, 1876 to Metta and Diedrich Wessel on a farm northeast of Scribner.
She was baptized and confirmed and a life-long member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a member of St. Paul’s Aid.
On March 13, 1896 she was married to Fred Kunz of Holstein, Germany. They moved to a farm in the same section as her birthplace and she lived on that farm until she passed away September 12, 1962, after several years of failing health.
Mr. and Mrs. Kunz celebrated their Golden Wedding in 1946. Her husband preceded her in death in Aug. 1952. Also preceding her in death were 5 sisters, 2 brothers, a daughter-in-law, and three grandsons.
Survivors are eight children: Mrs. Edward Kerstein and Mrs. Herman Wobken of Hooper; Mrs. JohnD. Meyer, Vincent, Paul and Evelyn of Scribner; Ludolf of Wakefield; and Mrs. Hayward Peck of Torrance, Calif.; also eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sept. 15 from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor LeRoy Dobbe officiating and Wollmer-Warne Funeral Home in charge. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Vernon Von Seggern, Arthur Popken, Helmut Martin, Norman Popken, Raymond Busselman, and Adolf Moseman. Orville Von Seggern was soloist and Mrs. Delbert Moeller was organist.
