Rieben, Robert A. Died - December 1, 2016 East Greenbush-Robert A. Rieben, 84 formerly of Castleton, NY died December 1, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Bob was born March 14, 1931 in Utica, NY. He was the son of the late Arnold and Evelyn (Bowman) Rieben. Bob was a 1953 graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy and the sole proprietor of Castleton Pharmacy until 1992. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maria (Neumann) Rieben, sons Stephen (Sue-Ellen) of Guilford, CT, Timothy (Dawn) of Jamaica, VT, and Gregory of Providence, RI. Also survived by grandchildren Christian (Amanda) of Darien, CT and Alexandra of NY, NY, two great grand children; Hadley and Mirielle of Darien, CT. and two cousins. Bob volunteered for many decades at the Sacred Heart Church, serving as a lay minister, lector and parish council president. Additionally, he served on various Castleton Village Board committees. Funeral mass to be held Tuesday at 11:00 at Sacred Heart Church, 3 Catholic Way, Castleton, NY. In-lieu-of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church.
