Notes for this person
His existence is known only through the 1810 death register of Warka, Poland. If he was truly 83 as the death record claims, then he was in his forties when Tuvia was born and almost certainly had other children. Who were these persons is unknown but it seems certain that none of them took the name Mokotow. If they took no surname, the Polish government would have assigned them the name Moskowicz, which means son of Moshe.
