Or Stalhodt, Staelhaet, Ysenhaet, Staelhot, Staelhoet, Stalhoet, Stalhorst, Stalhot. Also called Wilken, Wilkin, Wilekin, and even Willam. Merchant and shipper documented 1470-1495 in Lübeck, Danzig, Thorn (1471 and 1475),and Schonen, and then in 1497 in Stadthagen. Before 1500, there is no other Stahlhut known to be documented in the Schaumburg area, so Wylken is presumed to have moved from Lübeck to Stadthagen and become the progenitor of theStahlhut line there.
