Dec. 19, 1917 - Aug. 16, 2004Robert P. Beier, 86, of Co. Rd. 109 Fremont, died early Monday morning, August 16, 2004, at Fremont Memorial Hospital. Born in Fremont on December 19, 1917, to the late Rudolph and Rose (Bookmyer) Beier. On February 18, 1941, he married Ruth A. Snyder at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont. Ruth survives along with his children, Jim (Marcia Marinis) Beier of Fremont, Fred (Sharon Haas) Beier of Toledo, Ohio, Tom (Lynn Lytle) Beier of Miami, FL, Mike (Shari Colvin) Beier of Perrysburg, Ohio, Steve (Beth Reineck) Beier of Swanton, Ohio, Barb (Roger) Haynes of Fremont, Bill (Lynn Freeh) Beier of Middlebury, IN, Chuck (Mary Chudzinski) Beier of Swanton, Ohio and Jan (Jerry) Dickman of Fremont; grandchildren, Jamie, Mark, Tony, Chris, Andy, Shelly, Kimberly, Lindsey, Michael, Lisa, Matthew, Jason, Jon, Stephanie, Brian, Lori, Nick, Scott, Angie, Kurt, Alison, Gary, Andrea, Zack, Casey, Jena and Jared; great-grandchildren, Alex, Payton, Tyler, Morgan, Mason, Max, Kayla, Drew, Haley, Andres, Isabel, Eva, Alex T., Austin, Blaise, Lily, Anna and Mackenzie. Along with his parents, Bob was preceded by a sister, Loyola Geyman.Bob was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Past Council member of St. Joseph Church, the St. Joseph Cemetery Board, Farm Bureau Board Member, Fremont Federal Credit Union Board, Lindsey Elevator Board, 4-H advisor, and a former St. Joseph Booster Club member and was a current Moose member. Mr. Beier was a lifelong farmer and the owner of an Ohio Centennial Farm. Bob dedicated his life to his family and the farming business.Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at the Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch St. with a Christian Wake Service on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. David Bruning officiating. Burial will follow at St. Josep
