Charlotte Bauer, age 74 of Hastings died July 15, 2013 at the United Hospital in St. Paul.
She was born August 22, 1938 in La Moure County, N.D to Herbert and Hendrina (Mooy) Doeling. As a child, Charlotte's family moved to Canada for ten years and then to retain citizenship, moved back to Farmington, MN. She was a graduate of Farmington High School, where she lettered in music, enjoyed painting and was known as a very hard worker. Charlotte married Richard Bauer on September 19, 1959 in Hastings at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Prior to retirement, she had worked as an abstractor for Chicago Title Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Herbert Doeling and brothers-in-law Paul Haas and Bernard Mallery. Charlotte is survived by her husband Richard; children Gary (Donna) Bauer, Steve (Dora) Bauer, David (Victoria) Bauer, and Julie (Steven) Clothier; 14 grandchildren Janna (Seth) Weise, Ashley (John) Kane, Christopher Bauer, Emily (Eric) Christiansen, Justin Bauer, Jordon Jacobson, Drew Bauer, Madison Bauer, Bailey Clothier, Richie Bauer, William Bauer, Kirstie Clothier, Brooke Bauer and Parker Clothier; four great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Ida Haas and Adeline Mallery; also many nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
The funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Cole Kracke will be held 11 AM Friday, July 19, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. Fifteenth St., Hastings. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are Christopher, Justin, Drew, Richie, William Bauer, and Jordon Jacobson; Honorary Pallbearer is Parker Clothier.
