Second wife of Ahrend, marriage 1916 in New Rochelle, NY. License # 19502. Arrived 1885 from Germany at age 22. Lived with mother Babbette and brother Frederick on Eastchester Ave., New Rochelle prior to marriage with Arend. Resided at 190 Webster Ave. Ahrend's home even after his death in 1920. Buried in Beechwood Cemetery with brother J. Fritz Betzler.
At some point she was married to ? Haas. This would be prior to Ahrend in 1916.

A news article covers a surprise party held for Babette at the social gathering of the Luther League of the German Lutheran Church. Babette was joined in a reunion with all the charter members of the League to celebrate with a bridal shower because of her upcoming wedding to Arndt Rohrs which "promises to be on of the most important events to take place before Lent". Over 50 guests celebrated with Rev. H. O. Weber, church paster, presiding.

Luther League Party: New Rochelle Pioneer, 8 March 1916 Reception: Following her marriage to Ahrend, Babetta gave a reception to members of the "Frauen Verein", "Luther League", "Choir Guild", and "Fortuna Lodge in the Sunday School rooms of the German Lutheran Church. "Over 200 guests attended andMrs. Rohrs was presented with many handsome gifts in appreciation of her faithful service to these societies". (N.R.Pioneer p.5. Saturday 11 March 1916) Marriage Announcement: New Rochelle Pioneer Saturday 4 March 1916 p.5.: Rev. Herman O. Weber united Babette and Arndt in marriage. "She was atttired in a white satin gown and held a bouquet of corn flowers, a favorite bloom of the German Kaiser." Niece Miss Haas was an attendant, sons-in-law H.D. Blume and Reginald Cooper as ushers.
