Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 3:00. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Bernadine was born April 20, 1921, in Princeton, Illinois to Ruben and Amanda (Holtz) Halberg. She married William Baima, Sr. on March 1, 1941 in Princeton. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2003. She was a member of St. Patrick Church. She is survived by five daughters, Bonnie (Gilbert) Gregory of Ottawa, Connie (William) Malik of Ottawa, Susan (Randall) Goetsch of Ottawa, Patsy (Terry) Grunstad of Ottawa, and Mary (Jerry) Grunstad of Ottawa; two sons, William (Connie) Baima of Ottawa and David (Michelle) Baima of Sandwich; three sisters, Jane Dow of Princeton, Norma Raabe of Manlius and Betty Hansen of Mendota; three brothers, Max Halbeg, Dick (Sandy) Halberg, both of Princeton, and Gary (Bonnie) Halberg of Peoria; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Ronald, Bill, Bob, Jack, and Russel Halberg; two sisters, Herma Flynn and Joyce Hanson; one grandson, Nicholas Baima; and one great grandson, Reese Cresto.
