Norma Irene BISH

Norma Irene Kunselman, 82 of Fairmount City, died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Laurel Brooke Landing in Brookville.

Born October 29, 1927, in Fairmount City, she was the daughter of Norman R. and Irene Bish. She married Bernard Ellwood Kunselman on November 12, 1949. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2000.

After spending their 45th wedding anniversary with family and friends, their 50th anniversary gift from their children was a trip to Missouri to visit longtime friends.

Mrs. Kunselman worked for G.C. Murphy Company, Herbert's Market in New Bethlehem and retired from the New Bethlehem Area Free Public Library after 20-plus years of service.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Mrs. Kunselman was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, camping, ceramics and spending time with her grandchildren. She and her neighbors loved watching "the ice go out."

Survivors include three children:

Vicki Hoffman and her husband, Ken, of

New Bethlehem,

Steven Kunselman and his wife, Betty, of Shannondale, and Shelley Shaffer and her husband, Randy, of Clarion;

three grandchildren, Jennifer Kunselman of Shippenville, Ashley Hoffman Ralston and her husband, Matthew, of Greensburg, and Dustin Shaffer of Alpharetta, Georgia; two great-granddaughters, Belle Elizabeth and Emma Riley Ralston of Greensburg; a sister, Helen Marie Davis of Strattanville; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and loving husband of 51 years, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Hinderliter.
