Birth: 1668, Ireland Death: unknown Philadelphia Philadelphia County Pennsylvania, USA Adjutant General during The Siege of Londonderry in Ireland 1688. It is my belief that his name was James according to the will of his sister in Philadelphia. Admiral Cornet Brown came to America shortly after the siege of Londonderry with his daughters Elizabeth and Susan (Sarah) Brown. I believe he died in Philadelphia but it's not confirmed by any means. His daughters migrated to what is now Franklin County before that Cumberland County and Lancaster County before that. I'm not even sure if Cornet Brown made it to America. According to Thomas Witherow Cornet Brown was killed in the Siege of Londonderry at Pennyburn Mill on Thursday April 25th, 1688. He along with 3 other men. This is in the History of Ulster. So it is all still a mystery. A "Cornet" in the Irish or British military terms is an officer usually a new officer. Also defined as the officer who carrys the standard or flag.
