When she was five years old she was betrothed to Henri de Brabant, son of Jean III, but he died in 1349. In 1351 she was married to Charles II of Navarra to strengthen the alliance between the two kingdoms of France and Navarra. She was mother of Maria, wife of duke Alfonso I of Gandia, Joan, Pierre de Mortain and Charles III. She often stood in for her husband when he was in France or represented him in France while he was in Navarra.
