Birth: Dec. 15, 1886 Akron Summit County Ohio, USA Death: Dec. 1, 1952 Akron Summit County Ohio, USA Joseph Habig was born in Akron, Summit County, Ohio December 15, 1886 to Melchoir and Johanna Habig. His first wife, Bertha J Gless, born February 6,1886, died, November 14, 1920 after 10 years of marriage. Joseph and Bertha adopted a son, Joseph Habig, Jr He was born March 1, 1918, and died May 27, 1925 He married Arlene Wagner, who was born January 2,1894 in Massillon, Ohio. Arlene had a daughter, Elizabeth Engle and a son, Robert Engle, from her marriage to James Engle, who were later adopted by Joseph. Joseph was an Akron police officer for several years. The family later moved to Florida. Joseph died December 1,1952 in Ohio and was buried in St Bernard's Cemetery, Akron, Summit County, Ohio Arlene died October 16, 1988 in Ft Lauderdale, FL and is buried there.
