Molitor's Mill History of the mill The mill was erected in 1824 by the tanner Christoph Denhard and the armourer Nikolaus Scholzen. In the beginning it served as oil and tan mill and for grinding forgery products. It belonged to the district of Dreiersbach on the "Brühlsgässchen", that is, on the brook "Föhrenbach". Since July 7, 1830 the mill is in the property of our family. The new owner was Johann Molitor (1791-1870) who stemmed from the mill "Büchelsmühle". During his time the mill was set up for husking and milling grain, and permission was obtained to add a second pair of millstones. From 1870 to 1913 Johann Molitor (1840-1913) directed the mill, who was followed by our grandfather Nicolaus Molitor (1875-1938). After his death our grandmother Anna Molitor (1882-1951) directed the mill together with her youngest daughter Hedwig (1919-1984). In 1946 Hedwig Molitor married the miller Anton Branz (1915-1992) from Rusenberg (district of Biberach/Riß) and the couple took over the direction of the mill. In 1972 Molitor's Mill was shut down according to the "Mill Closure Act" of the same year. In 1992 it became the common property of the brothers and sisters Branz. In 1994 the mill was declared architectural and technical monument. Since 1997 it has been opened to the public again by the Branz family and can now be visited in the course of a guided tour with demonstration of the functioning of the mill. http://www.roscheiderhof.de/molitorsmuehle/index-e.html
