OBITUARY:
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 19, in the Martin LutherChurch for Diedrich FriedrichAntholz of Johnson, who died at his farmearly Thursday morning, September 17, at the age of 86 years and 26 days. Rev. Carl O. Carlson officiated.
He was born August 22, 1884, on a farm southwest of Johnson to Herman and Louise Holthus Antholz. September 21, 1884, Rev. J. H. Dirks baptized him in St. John's Lutheran Church, or what was known as Stone Church.Pastor Dirks also confirmed him March 26, 1899.
As a young man, he attended school in the Beckmann rural school a mileand one-half shouth of their farm home.
Feb. 18, 1925, Agnes D.W. Ehlers became his bride in the Martin LutherChurch. They made their h ome on his family farm. Shortly after their marriage, he joined the Martin Luther church.
His parents, four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Survivors include his widow, Agnes of Johnson; two sisters, Mrs. D.J. Caspers of Johnson and Mrs. Maggie Dirks of Chappell, NE.
At the funeral, pallbearers were Alvin Antholz, Clarence Ehlers, HermanAntholz, Harfey Rottman, Melvin Behrends and LaVerne Caspers, Interment was in the Martin Luther Cemetery.
Note: Diedrich F. and Agnes Antholz had no children.
