Notizen zu dieser Person

Anna Margaretha Friedrichs, wife of Henry W. Antholz, was born at Hanover, Kansas on Jan. 29, 1885. In her infancy, she was brought to her saviour through the act of baptism in the Lutheran Church at Hanover. At the age of 14 she was confirmed. In 1899 she left Kansas with her parents to live near Elmore, Minn. On Feb. 13, 1908 she was united in the holy estate of matrimony with Mr. Henry W. Antholz. They made their firsthome near Atwood, Kansas. In the spring of 1919 they moved to their present home, two and one-half miles north of McDonald.

Mrs. Antholz had not enjoyed good health for several years, but her condition was not thought to be serious until September of the past year.Since her illness the services of various doctors were engaged but no permanent help was obtained. Steadily she became weaker. A little more than two weeks ago she was taken to a hospital in Oberlin. All that loving and skillful hands could do was to no avail. On Tuesday morning, April 5th, at 11:22, having reached the age of 47 years, 2 months and 7 days she passed from time to be eternally with her saviour.

She leaves to mourn her husband; three children; Arthur, Edwin and Frieda (two other children proceeded their mother into eternity); her father, Fritz Friedrichs, Gibbon, Minn.; two brothers, Henry Friedrichs, Gibbon, Minn. and Fred Friedrichs, Rappidam, Minn.; and one sister, Mrs. August Carsten, Bird City, Kansas.

"Thou alone canst heal the broken-hearted, O Jesus, Saviour, hear.
For those whose joy of life seems all departed,
Whose path lies bleak and drear.
Plead then for us, thou dost not love to chasten,
But thou art wise as kind;
Oh, let each sorrow bid us onward hasten,
With patient, ernest mind.
Be with the mourning in their lonly dwelling,
Reveal how near thou art.
Sweeten their solitude, and grief dispelling,
Revive their drooping hearts."

Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at one p.m. at the Lutheran church at Bird City. Interment was made at the McDonald cemetery.
