Erna M. Cluver, 94, Danforth and formerly of Watseka, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth.
Erna was born May 20, 1916 in Ash Grove Twp., a daughter of Henry and Katherine Schleef Bormann. She married Arthur Cluver on September 2, 1939 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Woodworth. He preceded her in death onMay 11, 2002.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Margaret Erna Minderman on May 20, 1955; one brother, Dietrich Bormann in 1994; and one infant sister.
Mrs. Cluver was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka, Altar Guild, Ladies Aid, LWML (Lutheran Womens Missionary League), Hospital Auxiliary and County Home Extension. She also taught Sunday and SaturdaySchool. Erna was a Red Cross volunteer and helped with Meals on Wheels.She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery, baking, reading and word search puzzles.
She lived in Watseka all of her married life, nearly 64 years on SouthFifth St. She then was a resident of Kingdon Gardens for five years until moving to Prairieview Lutheran Home.
