The end came very peacefully, following a few days in which to her devoted family it had seemed Mrs. Dipper was slightly improved.
The decedent was 79 years of age and was born in Copland, on the Rhine, Germany, coming to this country and almost directly to Madison, of which city she had ever since been a resident. Her husband was the late Phillip Jacob Dipper, whose deathoccurred some years ago. Of seven children born to their union, five are living; Mesdames C. Griebe, of Louisville; Mrs. C. G. Malott, of Bedford, Ind., and three sons, Edward, Carrollton, Ky., and Charles and Fred, of this city. A sister, MissC. Geiss, of Louisville, is also living, and 15 grand-children and 7 great grand-children survive. Mrs. Dipper was a faithful and devout member of the German Lutheran church and was a member of the Ladies' Aid Society of that congregation in this city.
