CARL GEORGE VIEHE, Evansville, Indiana, was born in Centralia, Illinois, September 25, 1869, son of Dr. Casper H. and Catherine (Layher) Viehe, the former a graduate of the Missouri Homœopathic Medical College. Dr. Carl Viehe's literary education was completed by graduation from Reubelt's Academy, Henderson, Kentucky, in 1885. His father directed his early professional studies, and from 1890 until 1895 he attended the New York Homœopathic Medical College, receiving his M. D. degree in the latter year. Since graduation he has been continuously engaged in the general practice of medicine and surgery in Evansville, and he has served as physician of Knight township, Vanderburgh county, Indiana. He is a member of the Indiana Institute of Homœopathy, the American Institute of Homœopathy, the Round Table, the Vanderburgh County and the Indiana State Homœopathic Medical societies, and of the American Medical Association. He married Elizabeth Bromm of Evansville, Indiana, June 16, 1903.
