Notes for this person

NOTE: MC???? (How? Go to Kew Public Records Office, where all this isto be found.)He was last living and died at Mill Close, Stogumber, Taunton,Somerset.APL says he was in the RFA (who?) and the HQ RA Woolwich mighthave details on him.APL also confirms that he had the MC and says someone in the WarOffice might have the details.21st March 2002: AMGT's probate was on 8 Jane 1980, as found inthe will indexes in 1st Avenue House, High Holburn, London. Hiswill and admon have been ordered. Stillno sign of any deathcertificate.Fri 5th April 2002 (the day the queenmum was placed inWestminster hall): Armed with the above death date I returned tothe family History centre and opened up the right volume andthere he was, died on 7th Oct. His death certificate has nowbeen ordered.I also received his will, showing that he died worth £205,000which heleft to a bevy of ladies, probably, APL thinks, widowsof friends or colleagues from Ceylon, and also to somerelatives. Regrettably there isno mention of any descendantsof his Trotter cousins. The final process of finding his death certificate led me tofinding that I had down the wrong dates for the deaths of thisparents, hence not found at FRC; they were wrongly copied by mefrom Burke's Landed Gents.____________________________________________________________________On his death certificate:Registration District: Tanton DeaneSub-district: Taunton County of Somerset1.
